Selling Your Home?

Being prepared when you decide to sell can save you time and money in the long run! When potential home buyers come to see your home, you want it to show in the best possible light.

  • Make any repairs needed. If something is not working or broken, it's better to fix it ahead of time. A home buyer may think you are not maintaining the home.
  • Curb appeal goes a long way! Add some flowers, mow the lawn, trim the shrubs and clean any debris from the walkways and driveways.
  • Small  updates can make the difference. Maybe new knobs on the cabinets, fresh carpet in bedrooms if necessary, or add additional lighting.
  • Keep everything clean and free of odors! Clean up after the kids, or use candles to make your home look and smell fresh and clean.
  • Don't be home for showings. Let a potential buyer look around and be honest about your home.
  • Price your home right at the beginning. You don't want to lose any potential home buyers because they thought you were unreasonable on price.
  • Be negotiable. Give yourself some wiggle room to negotiate. The home buyer will expect to negotiate sale price, closing date etc.
